USB adapter for wireless Android Auto / Carplay

Most new navigation/multimedia systems in cars come with support for Android Auto and Carplay. However, these systems often still work wired.

With this USB adapter you can make your Apple Carplay or Android Auto wireless in no time.

If you have wired Carplay but no Android Auto, this device also adds wireless Android Auto (activate via Carplay).

Very useful if Mirrorlink no longer works (problem with Peugeot/Citroen, among others) or if Android Auti is not installed.

Easy to update:

Connect the dongle to a USB port for power (e.g. laptop or USB port in the car)
Connect your phone to WiFi (a new connection will appear called VW-XXX or AUTO-XXX or something similar). Password is 88888888
Go to the web address http://192.168.1.101 via the browser on your phone
You will enter an environment where you can upload an error message or update the device
The update process may not be completed properly, in which case (after at least 2-3 minutes) unplug the adapter and plug it back in
Run the process again to check that the update was successful.

Eenvoudig te updaten:

Sluit de dongle aan op een USB-poort voor stroom (bv laptop of USB-poort in de auto)
Verbind je telefoon met wifi (er verschijnt een nieuwe verbinding genaamd VW-XXX of AUTO-XXX of iets dergelijks). Wachtwoord is 88888888
Ga naar webadres http://192.168.1.101 via de browser op de telefoon
Je komt in een omgeving terecht waarin je een foutmelding kunt uploaden of het apparaat kunt updaten
Het kan zijn dat het updateproces niet netjes wordt afgerond, trek in dat geval (na minimaal 2-3 minuten) de stekker uit de adapter en steek deze terug
Voer het proces opnieuw uit om te controleren dat de update succesvol is geweest.

Na eenmalig de USB-adapter te hebben gepaired verbindt deze zich de eerstvolgende keer automatisch.
